Previously, on the me show

I have three new poems up on Northern Gravy, in their 12th edition.

I have an unfortunate tendency to dwell for longer on rejections than acceptances when it comes to poetry. I’m trying to change that way of thinking and to celebrate the successes.

I’ve tried several times in the past two or three years to get something accepted by Northern Gravy. I’ve been long listed a couple of times, but not quite made the final cut – until now…

Proud to say that with these three poems, I have finally done it. For which, I should add, I got paid (along with all the other contributors). With an art as famously unremunerative as poetry, that fact by itself deserves a little cheer.

Hope you enjoy them.

Here’s a link to the poems: Peckham Cherries, Previously, on the me show and Signs of Life
(these are part of an excellent issue, with twelve other contributors all worth reading).
